The Poster Project is an initiative that not only hits close to home and gives back to Nepal but is accepting submissions from college art and design students nationwide. New York couple, Jami Saunders and Andrew Raible, both artists in their own right, have dedicated their time to the esteemed organization, Kids of Kathmandu. This non-profit provides Nepalese orphans with the education they deserve. Students across the nation are welcome to submit artwork using the tagline 'Design Your Mind' from now through November 14th.
Once all submissions have been received the artwork will be judged by top New York design professionals, one being our close friend - Graphic Designer and Filmmaker Sarahana Shrestha. You may recognize some of her work here. Limited edition posters from the 18 winners, three of which will be awarded a prize, will be on sale at the Kids of Kathmandu fundraiser in December and hung in various educational facilities throughout Kathmandu. All proceeds go toward education for orphans in Nepal for Kids of Kathmandu.
This opportunity is wonderful for all aspiring designers and artists to exercise their creative minds and give back. We look forward to highlighting the winners once selected. For more information click here.
