Fresh Faces on the Runway

In the fast paced world of fashion, it's nice to take a step back once in a while to admire the fresh faces on the rise. There are so many beautiful young ladies gracing the pages of top magazines and down the runways that they can be hard to keep up with. Here are a few girls to watch as they make their way from New York to Milan...and beyond.

Josephine Skriver
Recently hailed as a rising star by New York Magazine, Josephine Skriver has been on a roll since being discovered in 2008. Born in Copenhagen, Denmark, the gorgeous Danish model was first approached to model while visiting New York for a soccer trip. After sending in some pictures to a Danish modeling agency, Josephine was signed soon after, quickly rising in the industry. Landing a slew of top bookings for the Fall 2011 season, including multiple couture shows, the model opened for Alberta Feretti and closed for Prada. Having had such fast success, it’s easy to forget that Josephine is still just an 18 year-old who loves chocolate and watching movies in between photo shoots. With a face to remember, Josephine is on the rise, and seemingly unstoppable.

Aymeline Valade
Aymeline Valade, hasn’t been on the scene for too long, but already stands as the face of Alexander Wang for Spring 2011 and Resort 2012. Landing some prominent bookings for the Fall 2011 couture shows, including Chanel and Giambattista Valli, Aymeline is sure to be a smash hit this season. Discovered riding her skateboard to work in 2009, this edgy Parisian beauty is a favorite of stylists Karl Templer and Craig McDean, who booked her for an editorial in Interview. With her fierce look and cool style, Aymeline is definitely a force of nature taking the fashion industry by storm.

Xiao Wen Ju
At nearly 5’10, Xiao Wen Ju was discovered on Models (.com) in the ‘NewFaces’ section. Originally from Xi’an, China, Xiao Wen quickly has become one of the country’s top fashion models. One can see her gracing the pages of everything from Vogue China to V Magazine, and even landing the cover of Harper’s Bazaar Korea. Xiao Wen had an extremely strong start booking many of Europe’s top Fall 2011 shows, including Prada, Hermes, Louis Vuitton and Thierry Mugler, and appeared in notable Resort 2012 shows. With fast growing momentum, she shows no sign of slowing down; campaign work is surely just around the corner.
