Vibrant shades of cobalt blues, electric yellows and fuchsias coincide with an array of cacti, lush palm dress, and detailed fountains making this garden an exotic hidden gem located in Marrakech, Morocco. Designer / artist Jacques Majorelle's goal was to create a refreshing soothing escape while still being amongst desert heat, hence the frequent use of cobalt blue.
Open to the public since 1947, the Majorelle Garden has a unique tie to fashion. Legendary designer Yves Saint Laurent purchased and restored the garden in 1980, he had a strong passion for the North African country and drew artistic inspiration and refuge from his blue garden heaven.
