Films That Inspire: Bill Cunningham New York
 

Bill Cunningham New York explores the lifestyle and passion of fashion photography through the eyes of world-renowned New York Times photographer Bill Cunningham. Best known for his candid street shots, Cunningham’s unique and timeless style of photography has been recognized throughout the fashion world. The film documents Cunningham on the street, at home and at his office pursuing his love and obsession for the trends of fashion throughout the years. Appearing in the film are a wide range of household names in fashion such as Anna Wintour, Tom Wolfe, Brooke Astor and David Rockefeller.

Directed by Richard Press and produced by Philip Gefter, this documentary film has won several awards in 2010 including Best First Documentary at the Abu Dhabi Film Festival, Best Storytelling Documentary at the Nantucket Film Festival, and the Audience Award for Best Documentary Film at both the Melbourne and Sydney Film Festivals.
